After becoming more involved in local church ministry, he relocated his family to pursue his Master of Divinity at Cornerstone Seminary in 1996. He has planted several churches over the years, but in 2002, he was asked by The Bridge Christian Fellowship to plant a church in North Carolina. He answered that call and, along with others, planted the church now known as New Life of Currituck. Pastor Dan went on to receive a Doctorate of Family and Marriage Counseling from Logos University.
